Food
Trace-A-Matic’s
Food Machinery Division specializes in helping design, manufacture,
and assemble various machines for the food, dairy, and pharmaceutical
industries. Trace-A-Matic’s machinery helps produce candies,
chocolates, and ice cream for a wide variety of household names.
Some of the components we have helped design, machine, and assemble
include depositor rolls, carmel extruders, nozzle assemblies. We
also work with OEMs in the food processing industry. Some of the
components we machine for them include pump housings, homegenizer
shafts, and impellers. Our machined components are also seen in
the bottling and canning industries for a variety of OEMs.
Our
engineering department can assist in design as well as creating
estimates for project completion. Engineering is also responsible
for creation of bills of material and process routing.
Trace-A-Matic offers a full-service machine shop which can turn
and mill components ranging from hand held parts to parts the size
of a car. Having over 30 CNC Lathes we have a wide variety of capabilities
all the way up to 34” swing by 156” long on a horizontal
lathe or 60” swing by 36” deep vertically. Likewise
with milling, we can machine up to 240” long by 79” high.
Much of our materials includes a wide variety of stainless steels
including 303, 316, 410, and 17-4PH.
Having ISO9002 certification ensures procedures are in place for
documentation and data control, inspection techniques, purchasing,
and process control. Our 10-foot long Coordinate Measuring Machine
allows us the ability to verify everything that we can machine.
Trace-A-Matic offers 100,000 square feet of machining and assembly
operations in a climate-controlled environment. Our 30 years of
experience with food and candy processing machinery makes us uniquely
suited for the requirements of this industry.
Mining
We offer our large machining services to a wide variety of OEMs
in the mining industry. Some of the products we machine include
large wheel assemblies, pins, axles, spindles, and piston struts.
Printing
One of our largest niches in the past years has been our involvement
in the printing and graphic arts industries.
Due to our experience, many times we get involved in helping our
customers at the design stage to reduce costs.
Our niche in machining components for the printing industry is
equally versed between milling and turning. Our forte is in machining
blanket, plate, impression, and cutting & folding cylinders,
side frames & gearboxes. We also machine thousands of rollers
and shafts a year.

Large
Engine Components
- Natural Gas Engines
- Submarine Engines
- Ship Engines
- Locomotive Engines
- Naval Engines
Trace-A-Matic has developed an expertise in machining large engine
components for natural gas, naval, locomotive ship and submarine
engine industries.
- Connecting Rods
- Cylinder Liners
- Piston Heads
- Inserts
- Injection Pump Brackets

Many engines that our customers sell are in the thousand or tens
of thousands horsepower. You will see engine components that we
machine propelling ships, driving locomotives, natural gas compressors,
and generating power. Our customers are leaders in large engine
components for natural gas, naval, locomotive, ship and submarine
engine industries.
Aerospace
Aerospace Components is another market that Trace-A-Matic is heavily
involved in, primarily in the area of Titanium separation disks
for jet engines. Our large Vertical Turning Lathes (VTL’s)
can swing up to 84” with a maximum turning height of 54”.
One of our larger Vertical Turning Lathes has live tooling, with
the ability to drill and tap bolt hole patterns and other milling
operations.
Of course, everyone talks about Quality. What separates Trace-A-Matic
from many other machine shops is our ability to successfully machine
titanium forgings that have a cost in the tens of thousands
before we take a turn on it. There is quite simply no
room for error whatsoever.
Besides jet engine components, we have also machined helicopter
rotor shafts, hydraulic pump bodies, and other jet engine components.
