The showpiece of our Vertical Machining Center capability is our SNK RB-6VM. This brand new bridge-style allows us to machine five (5) faces of a production workpiece in one setup. With travels of approximately 10’ x 20’ and table capacity of 30,000 lbs, this is definitely a Big Kahuna!

Our vertical milling centers have produced work for the wind power industry and power generation industry, and for railroads and OEM machine tool builders that were all well- suited to the capabilities of the SNK RB-6VM Vertical Milling center. Engine blocks, rotor hubs, frames, and bases are typical examples of large parts that we can produce for you.

Our Kuraki KMV-130 Double Column vertical machining center (VMC) is another versatile tool with vigorous capabilities. It features travels of 98” x 51” and has a full contouring rotary table.

In addition, Trace-A-Matic has a number of smaller VMC’s
that can serve as a standalone unit or as an integral tool
within a cell. Many of these have full contouring capability.
Our vertical milling centers offer a very economical option
when the part requirement task is well-matched to the
appropriate machine tool.
