Trace-A-Matic has 16 vertical spindles to offer ranges from 20” diameter swing to 90” diameter swing. Several of these are configured in pairs to facilitate the most effective throughput for medium quantity runs. Depending on your part configuration, we can run simultaneous operations to improve efficiency and reduce your costs.
Our largest New Century VTL has an 82” chuck, a 90” maximum swing, and accommodates 75” under the rail. Right next to that is another New Century VTL with a 77” chuck, 90” swing, and 60” beneath the rail.
We have a pair of New Century VTL’s that are each 70” swing with 32” under the rail. These we run side by side typically planning for two chuckings of any given work piece so that Operation 1 and Operation 2 are performing concurrently.
We also feature our Okuma-Howa 2SP-V80. This twin spindle can swing up to 39” on its dual chucks. Here again we get two operations going simultaneously for great effectiveness.
We run a lot of stainless and titanium on these vertical turning lathes, working with those expensive materials and the inherent risk. These parts are going into the aerospace and medical equipment industries where exact precision and accuracy are required.
Our 3 smaller twin spindles VTL’s have 20” swing. These workhorses also offer our customers efficient throughput.
