With complete understanding and control, we fully leverage the capability of each machining center in the manufacturing process. Learn more about our engineering services.
Trace-A-Matic conquers complex part manufacturing with state-of-the-art 5-axis CNC machining, backed by decades of experience and unmatched creativity. The 5-axis platform cuts part geometry and complex shapes unachievable by other machining methods. This enhanced machining capability increases accuracy by combining several standalone operations, significantly reducing part handling and multiple clamping phases during the process. The spindle head operates closer to the workpiece, allowing shorter cutting tools with less vibration and deflection, higher cutting speeds, tighter tool moves, and improved surface finishing capability.
Cost savings is another huge benefit of 5-axis technology. Consolidating 3-axis machining and other linear axes operations into a single set-up increases production throughput while reducing cycle time, costly work fixtures, and overall waste. It provides a more efficient and economical solution with faster lead time and production turnaround with outstanding quality. Learn more about our 5-axis machining service.
We tackle demanding machining challenges with a wide variety of 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC high precision machines to cut the most hard-to-reach features of complex part geometry. Vertical mills equipped with right-angle head and rotary index table capability transform complex manufacturing processes into a single set-up operation providing faster turnarounds and reduced cost of CNC machined parts. Trace-A-Matic is committed to the continual investment in innovative technology, state-of-the-art equipment, highly experienced machinists, and ongoing industry training. This multi-disciplinary approach enables us to consistently and successfully meet or exceed your machining expectations. Learn more about our precision milling, vertical CNC milling, and horizontal CNC machining services.

Trace-A-Matic uses state-of-the-art, fully automated CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines), Romer arms, and powerful PC-DMIS (Personal Computer - Dimensional Measuring Interface Standard) software. We use these tools to measure and verify critical external and internal part dimensions, complex geometry, overall machine tool output, and other vital features as specified. All of our facilities are climate controlled at 70°F ±2° with relative humidity below 40% to ensure a stable testing and manufacturing environment. We manage and provide inspection on all aspects of your manufacturing process. Learn more about our CNC inspection services.
Trace-A-Matic specializes in machining exotic metal parts and assemblies. Years of experience provide expert knowledge of metal characteristics and how material groups react while machining. Tool selection, cutting pass depths, mill/lathe feed and speed, chip control, and high-pressure coolant are critical in controlling heat generation, which can cause part movement and tool deflection during the machining process. This level of skill ensures world-class precision machining that meets or exceeds the most demanding tolerances. We machine all standard metals, aluminum, armor plate, brass, bronze, chromium, copper, gammalloy, Hastelloy, Incoloy, Inconel, Invar, manganese, Monel, nickel, Nitralloy, powdered metals, stainless steel, Stellite, titanium, Waspaloy, and many other superalloys.
