Our machine operators are highly skilled at producing machined parts from aluminum and its alloys. The proper machining tool design and tool material, helix angle, feed rate, radial engagement, chip evacuation, and cutting force are essential to reduce heat and chip thinning. High speeds, high feed rates lead to high temperatures making aluminum difficult to machine with precision. They carefully control material removal so aluminum does not stick to the tool. The work-hardening process makes the metal more rigid and stronger by plastic deformation of the working material by the tool cutting edge and results in a quality surface finish.
