Our machine operators are highly skilled at cutting titanium and its alloys. The proper machine tool, axial depth, feed rate, climb milling, radial engagement, and cutting force are essential to reduce heat, chip thinning, built-up edge, and extend tool life. High feed rates lead to high temperatures making titanium difficult to machine with precision. The work-hardening process makes the metal more rigid and stronger by plastic deformation of the working material by cutting edges.
