Experience: +5 years of experience (preferred) in an equivalent manufacturing role.

Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in engineering or technical field.

Skills: Strong manufacturing skills, CADCAM knowledge, blueprint reading skills (including GD&T), strong communication, and leadership.

Essential Duties: Lead/drive New Job Start-Up (NJSU) Groups delivering First Article Inspection (FAI) parts on time, meeting customer expectations, technical requirements, developmental budgets, and profitability of ongoing production.

Daily Activities:
  • Manage and lead projects through drawing and specification interpretation, machining process planning/programming, develop quality protocols, purchasing initiatives, operation scheduling, supplier management, budget vs. cost analysis, working with customers, leadership, suppliers, quality, and production personnel as required.
  • Lead and support all project machining activities.
  • Resolve manufacturing issues related to fixtures, tooling, and programming.
  • Work with quality assurance staff to correct any quality or inspection issues.
  • Identify additional action required when the project plan is not meeting goals.
  • Monitor and report project status to customers, leadership, and suppliers.
  • Support quoting process by gathering project information, on-site visits, teleconference participation, and proposing manufacturing solutions as required.

Physical Demands: This position requires standing, walking, sitting, talking, hearing, and using hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. The employee must occasionally stoop, bend, reach above shoulders, and lift 25 pounds. Specific vision requires close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Relocation: Trace-A-Matic will help you and your immediate family relocate to southeastern WI if required. The relocation package is on an individual requirement basis.
